Residential Building Permit Inspections by the Board of Assessors

The City of Quincy, Board of Assessors is in the process of reviewing all properties that have obtained building permits during Calendar Year 2015 & 2016. The reason we conduct this review is to ensure that we have obtain accurate property information for assessment purposes. The Board has retained 3D Data Ltd., a private company with expertise in property assessment, to conduct the inspections between 02/28/2017 and 05/28/2017. These inspections will happen between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Saturday.

In order to insure public confidence, the Board requires that 3D- Data representatives carry a photo ID. As part of the inspection process, the representative will be measuring buildings, taking exterior photos, and if necessary requesting an interior inspection. The entire process should generally take no more than 10 minutes.

The Board of Assessors works very hard to ensure property values are fair and equitable; we regard a property inspection to be an integral part of our effort to assemble accurate data.   We realize that some of this work may cause homeowners inconvenience, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
